Job Profile

  • Partnering & business development:
    • Support the coordination of international partnering conferences coverage including
      • Triage of potential partners (licensing, collaborators)
      • Mapping of early stage VCs and University Tech offices
      • Preliminary contact with external stakeholders
    • Keep a track record of ongoing external activities
    • Support the team to maintain the Alentis e-data room up to date for investor and partnering discussion
    • Support Business development activities including scouting, CDAs and coordination of BD discussions
  • KOLs, PAGs, networking
    • Mapping of patient association groups (PAGs) and relevant foundations in the US and Europe and support to initiate discussion and collaborations
    • Support the identification of potential collaborators for selected indications including mapping of key opinion leaders according to key trials conducted, publications and reputation
  • Competitive intelligence & insights & analyses
    • Support global competitive intelligence activities including tracking of competitor data release
    • Monitor key competitors (e.g Dashboard) and ensure timely dissemination of critical information
    • Collaborate with vendor on key deliverables including medical congress coverage and landscapes
    • Support analysis for competitor threat assessments and support the coordination of internal strategic workshops
    • Perform and deliver ad-hoc analyses as needed (e.g. competitors, diseases overview, market research and landscapes)
    • Support the R&D and clinical team with ad-hoc secondary research
  • Scientific conference coverage
    • Tracking Alentis / University of Strasbourg presentations at scientific conferences
    • Mapping key medical conferences and support competitive intelligence coverage of competitor data release
    • Collaborate with vendors to provide a congress schedule with selected high priority sessions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (other languages are a plus)
  • Demonstrated experience with databases and advanced analytics
  • Ability to synthetize large amounts of information and generate insights for the leadership team
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple, competing priorities
  • Demonstrating problem-solving
  • Strong interpersonal and partnering skills
  • Passionate and curious about Biotech, Pharma industry and start-ups.
  • Understand the basics of business models, market dynamics and drug development process
  • Strong scientific acumen, self-motivated drive, and genuine interest in following novel science and emerging industry trends
  • Passionate for medical innovation combined with an entrepreneurial drive and solution-oriented approach
Qualifications & Experience
  • University degree in life sciences or related preferred, PhD is a plus
  • 2+ year of relevant experience required, including consulting or analytical experience in the pharma, biotech or related industry
  • Experience in synthetizing findings from multiple sources to enable informed strategic making and business insights
  • Business development, market research and competitive intelligence experience is a plus
  • Valid work permit for Switzerland is mandatory
